Project Background:

Zouping County Hongzheng New Material Technology Co., Ltd., located in Shandong Province, China, faced challenges in meeting stricter environmental regulations for fluoride discharge. The existing wastewater treatment system resulted in fluoride concentrations exceeding the new limits set forth in the "Basin Comprehensive Discharge Standard for Water Pollutants Part 1 Nansi Lake Dongping Lake Basin" (DB 37/3416.3-2018).

Solution:

Beijing Huade Chuangye Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. designed and constructed a new EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project to address this issue. The project utilizes a state-of-the-art fluoride removal wastewater treatment system.

Process Flow:

Homogenization and adjustment: Wastewater from all factory areas (including rainwater, sewage, and desulfurization wastewater) is combined and adjusted for optimal treatment.
Defluoridation and flocculation: Defluoridation agents and other treatment chemicals are added through pumps and reaction tanks. This process promotes the formation of flocs, which capture fluoride and other contaminants.
Solid-liquid separation: The treated wastewater undergoes a separation process to remove the settled flocs, resulting in clean effluent.
Discharge or reuse: The treated clean water meets the required standards and can be discharged or reused.
